Hello fintech nerds,
It is about zero degrees here on the streets of New York, and I’m excited to be inside and warm with a bunch of you tonight at Rockefeller Plaza.
Fireside New York: Itai Damti
I first met Itai Damti as Unit was just getting started in 2019, and after just one meeting, I basically hounded him until he let me invest :) Since then, I've had the privilege of watching him build an incredible technology platform and organization. Tonight, he and I will be hosting Kunai's second FinTech Fireside of the year at Rockefeller Plaza in New York. I'm excited to talk to him about how he built a product-led culture at Unit, the future of BAAS & Embedded Finance, and other key trends in FinTech. And yes, of course we'll be talking about AI & Automation.
We may have a few spots available, so please send Joanna a note if you’re interested.
Being Opportunistic with AI
The thing about AI is that you can just do things.
Yes, there are big things that need to be accomplished at the enterprise level. These are centralized efforts that will take years and will require petabytes of data to be integrated and normalized.
But, you can also just do things. There is a ton of low hanging fruit. There are mind-numbing processes that can be automated today, for much less effort and cost than anyone realizes.
These will be grassroots efforts, catalyzed by ambitious executives who realize they can eliminate manual processes and free their teams to do the work they were hired to do in the first place.
This is what we mean when we say we want our clients to be opportunistic with AI.
Automation of the Week: Eliminate Duplicate Tickets
We are continuing to release a new automation every single week on my LinkedIn. Here’s last week’s automation, dedicated to the engineering leads, scrum masters, ,and product managers among us. We feel your pain, we know how many hours you just spent doing this last week. So here’s a quick solution for automated duplicate ticket detection and deletion in Jira (or anywhere).
Get in touch with Sumant if you’re interested in collaborating on a custom automation.
See you all soon!
